Different jobs call for different comparisons. For people, consider seats, bags and preferred controls together. For goods, describe the shape and weight of the load and how it will be handled. Those priorities help narrow the vehicle group without relying on a model name.
Treat the handover address separately from passenger destinations or loading stops. The team needs to assess the actual delivery point and return collection arrangement, not just the places the hired vehicle will visit.
The rental provider supplying the vehicle remains responsible for its maintenance and faults. Before committing, establish which vehicle specification and hire conditions have been offered; an example photograph does not reserve that exact model.

Flexibility for your hire
Eligible homes and workplaces on the UK mainland can receive free vehicle delivery and collection.
Confirm the vehicle, timing, access and address. Ports, stations and airports are excluded, as are empty properties at which the hirer is unregistered; changed arrangements, failed handovers or specialist requests may bring charges.
Enjoy unlimited rental mileage within fair-use terms; declare the planned distance and use.
No courier use. Other delivery-service or high-mileage work needs written acceptance and may incur excess-mile charges.
The hire network supports local trips and longer UK mainland journeys.
Check the requested dates, vehicle and each postcode; islands or other non-mainland movements need separate arrangements.
Add a permitted European journey to an eligible hire.
Pre-arrange permission, insurance, breakdown cover, documents and charges; country and vehicle restrictions or deposits may apply. No European one-way hire.
Selected vehicles can finish a UK mainland hire at a second eligible postcode.
Confirm both postcodes, route and vehicle availability, with the quoted one-way charge; island and European one-way journeys are excluded.
Approved named drivers normally receive comprehensive vehicle cover for eligible vehicles of 7.5 tonnes and below, inclusive.
An excess applies; the policy excludes flood damage, windscreen and tyre damage, overhead-height damage and goods in transit. Customer company insurance is required for 18, 26 and 44 tonne trucks, together with applicable operator credentials.
Save 10% on the hire rate with approved company comprehensive motor cover for the vehicle and drivers.
Vehicle and use eligibility apply, with the company policy and insurance certificate needing approval before delivery. You must add the hired vehicle to the Motor Insurance Database for the hire period.
Passenger vehicles and commercial bodies give you a choice for people, belongings or work.
